“We had Victoria from Wellbeing Warriors in school for a ten week session with 10 of our pupils. She was really lovely with the children and took time to get to know them each individually and build a relationship with them. The children she had really enjoyed going and were very keen to talk about what they had been doing. They were happy and confident and told me that sometimes they shared things about themselves, but didn't have to if they didn't want to. They all said at the end of the programme, that they knew more about how to recognise their emotions and had strategies to help them if they felt emotional about something. They also really enjoyed the activities and the 'goodie bags' they took home most weeks. Overall, we were very happy with the professional service provided and have booked again, hoping to continue developing the wellbeing of our pupils.”

"The children loved their 10 week sessions with Victoria. They were really engaged and motivated throughout the session each week. A year 4 child came back each week and showed the rest of the class how to use meditation techniques which was great both for the class and the child's confidence.
Right from meeting both Louise and Victoria it was obvious they are both really passionate and committed to making a difference to children's lives especially those children who are more vulnerable than others. “At All Saints we have run the Wellbeing Warriors programme in school for the second year running. Overall it has been an extremely successful programme, not only in terms of the children having a great experience and focus each week, but in terms of the outcomes from the sessions. Teaching staff have seen positive change in the children’s attitude, approaches to learning and self-esteem. The children are much more confident and less anxious. It’s been a pleasure to have had the programme in school.”

“School are now coming to the end of our second round of intervention with Wellbeing Warriors and we have another course booked for September. We originally used the service for our Pupil Premium pupils to help them to develop stronger emotional resilience, better self-esteem and to help them to form and maintain more positive relationships with both adults and their peers. Louise has been fabulous, taking the time to really get to know each of the children personally and tailoring sessions to meet their individual needs. The children have a clear plan of what they will be doing and cannot wait for Tuesday afternoons to come around! The work is structured in a fun, friendly, creative way which enables all children to access the work each session. Parents are kept fully informed of the work being done and every week each child takes something home from the session to share with their family and use at home. We have now widened the intervention to include a number of other children who are benefitting from the service.
Teachers and parents have noticed how much calmer the children have been and how much better they are accessing their work and interacting with their friends. One family even got in touch to say how pleased they were that since they had been using some of the activities Louise provides for the children to take home, their children had stayed in their own beds all night for the very first time. We have been able to measure the impact in a number of ways; the very detailed profile Louise produces at the end of the course, feedback from children, teachers and parents and in the way, we observe our young people accessing their day and interacting with their friends. Improved self-esteem, resilience, behaviour management an impact at both school and home has been observed and we couldn’t be happier.”
